A trip to UTP

Last weekend I went to Universiti Teknologi Petronas, Tronoh Perak (some students and ex-students perasanly call it Toronto)
My sis-in-law has finished her 8 month internship in KL and was going back to the Uni. for another year.
She got a brand new apartment for this semester.
I thought the place is meant for staff/lecturers or international students. And of course I was wrong. It is for the students.
It is nice and the furnitures are of high quality (for students)
They got "Dreamland" mattress, unlike other IPTA which have "HAK KERAJAAN" mattresses.

Each desk has free internet connection port...

Enlarge this photo to clearly see the flaw of this design. The fixed blind are not suitable for higher floors. I could clearly see through the ladies. I had already seen one girl berkemban tuala putih, rambut pendek....TER......je...tak sengaja... ;)

I also went to peek on the mosque. Tumpang Jamak Qasar skali.. It was the most beautiful mosque in any university that I have ever been. (oops..maybe UIA pun ok gak)

The location (on a lake) is very perfect. The breeze that came from the lake...was sooo nice.. Boleh jadi AJK masjid lah kalau camni...hehhee

Indah is acting as a rabbit (as she claimed la) I guess the two fingers signs are to indicate the rabbit's ear, but instead of putting the sign atas kepala, she just run and run and run with her hands on the side..salah concept tuh..

28 years ago, seorang bakal isteri mithali telah dilahirkan...
Di sebuah rumah di Kampung Gong Kiat, seorang ibu mithali telah dilahirkan...
Pada waktu tengahari hari itu, tepat 12.45pm seorang bernama ahmad suffian osman baru nak belajar merangkak.....kot....
tak tahu pun bakal isterinya sedang dilahirkan...

Kuasa Allah.....
ikan di laut, asam di darat .... di USM bertemu juaa....(adakah aku ikan dugong??..jgn la cam tu..bagi la dolphin, kiut sket....)

A worthwhile Saturday morning

This morning, after Subuh, I cycled to Bandar Puteri and came back to Sri Andalas.
The to-and-fro 8 km journey, took me an hour. Hahahaa....giler slow.

Yes, my bicycle which I ignored for more than a year is now making a come back...
Two weeks ago, I cleaned it and changed the seat (seat utk org bontot besor)..Baru sedap sket...Siap ada spring...

After cycling....and after Ummi Indah went to school (ada math clinic) Indah and I together with tokwan went for breakfast.

Lepas tu it was mandi time...

Since dah berpeluh2 and berasak-asak dgn kereta dan lori serta mengumpul bau asapnye....I decided to merendam badan dlm bath tub..
Indah punye lah happy...

Indah : Abi, tadi Jimmy tu baca fatihah untuk bapak mawi. Sian kan mawi, bapak dia dah beninggal
Abi : (bila pulak dia kenal Jimi Astro nii..//) A aa..sian dia..Indah baca fatihah ye..
Abi : Indah, kalau Ummi ngan Abi meninggal macam mana?
Indah: Alaa..Indah duduk la dengan orang lain
Abi : Nanti Indah nak beli gula2, nak beli mainan, abi ngan Ummi takde...macam mana?
Indah: Indah duduk la kat AF
Abi : AF? Kenapa?
Indah: Situ best, ada menari2, ada kawan2, ada lagu, ada nyanyi..
Abi : Astaghfirullahalaziimm...

This is when I realized Indah had too much of channel 15. Asyik tengok AF je..Kitorang pun tak tengok, dia bukak tv sendiri lepas tokwan amik dia balik dari nursery, petang2...

Since then, tv session dia dah kena limit. No AF. tgk kartun takpe...Dia pun minat tgk sinetron Indon kat Astro Ria pukul 6.30-7.30.
Ada skali tu, gi makan kat kedai ada citer tu tgh tayang. Dia excitedly menjerit, sambil tangan tunjuk kat tv citer Indon tu.."Eh!! Citer Indah!!!"...Hampehh

World Cup 2006 Final - Worth your sleep.......and waiting

"One of the best and most interesting World Cup finals since 1986" - Commentator...

France was showing world class best footbal.
Italy was defending alll the way, but once in a while did drop by at France area....(trying to show some balance to the game)

Zenidine Zidane..........this is the most memorable way to end a career....!!!

What can we say.....

Sigh......what can we say...this car must have sentimental values to the owner...
Hope the driver and other onlooking drivers on the road arrive safely to their destinantion.







On the other hand...didn't toyota making good cars??? :)

Holland Trip Summary....and why I did not go to World Cup

I came back from Holland last week.
Holland did miss me so much that they lost in World Cup 2nd round to Portugal, the day I left for KL.

Holland is a very nice country. The people (I mean the ladies la…tak prasan la plak aku ngan org lelakinye..hehehehe) , the scenery, the city and the summer breeze…..was fantastic.

I am glad that I went to Amsterdam for two days, rather than spending my time in Cologne, Germany (worlds cup venue)
Few reasons why I did not go to World Cup:

1. There’s no single game during the period I wanted to go,
2. I need to take minimumly 2 trains, and for each train, the tickets can only be bought at the respective stations (noassurance that I can get my tickets)
3. The time path that I will take if I go there is the most critical path. Any change to the timing, 4. will make me miss my flight to KL. I am not a risk taker when it comes to company’s travel trip.
5. I have limited cash….train tickets will not accept VISA. Dah la mahal nak mamposs…
6. I might bump into my long lost wife…….a brasilian…(exaggerating..see comments in “No update” post…hahahaha

In Amsterdam, I spent two nights at Dorint Sofitel Schipol (very nice and sophisticated hotel)
Since our hotel was 20 mins away (by taxi) to the city center, we have to take free shuttle provided by the hotel.

FAMILY OUTING - HAVING A GOOD LIFE

1st day – 7.30pm – 2am
Went out with the whole group of the workshop participants.
Took photos…Checked out some places…some interesting ones..some not so interesting ones..and some very interesting ones…..hehehhe
I luv the water canals…there are few of them in the middle of the city.

2nd day – 10.30am – 3pm
Went out with my Malaysian colleague. Shopping like mad….most are souvenirs for people in office and relatives. I did not buy enuff though…L
After our hands were really full with the shopping bags, we decided to get back to hotel and rest…

2nd day – 7.30am – 12am
Went out alone. My colleague was too tired.
I explored the city and went to different area than what I have covered in two earlier outings.
Found so many Muslim restaurants at this Asian place/town.
Have to wait until 12 midnight for the shuttle to fetch me…
Shops were closed by 9 or 10pm in Amsterdam, but restaurants, club was open until 11.
