Mykad.....Yourkad...Ourkad...truly malaysian

I stumbled into this letter-to-editor from one of the last minute myKad applicant in today's NST. Actually i dont like to say anything on this, but sometimes gerrramm betul la dgn perangai orang mengada2 ni.

No numbers after three trips

THIS is hardly my style in managing problems but after 15 minutes of waiting for the aduan screen of the National Registration Department website to download, I decided to write to you instead. My issue is with regard to the renewal of MyKad. I do realise that about one million people who are just now renewing theirs are late, but I am also sure that we will find reasons for their delay.

The question is, didn’t the NRD anticipate this when they planned for the change? I went to the NRD office in Serdang last week with my son to renew our ICs. At 9am, we were told that all numbers for the day had been given out. We went to the Kota Damansara branch on Dec 28 at 8am and were told the same thing. On Dec 29, I returned to Kota Damansara and started queuing up at 6.45am. After nearly 1½ hours, we were again told the same thing.My questions:

• Why did the NRD officers not count the people queuing and inform them that the quota had been exceeded so that we could either go to other NRD branches or cancel our leave?
• Why couldn’t they have given all those queuing up a number and tell them specifically when to return? This is what the NRD office at Putrajaya does.
• If these offices are on a "strict" quota, how is it that a woman who came after me managed to get her MyKad done? She told me that her husband knew someone in the office.


I really can't stand this kind of people. What on earth is she thinking? What the hell is she complaining about? Still want to blame NRD for all the problem during the last minute free renewal MyKad period???!!

Ini macam punye orang sebenarnye memang banyak. Look at these sentences:

hucs says : pale hotak kau NRD tak anticipate. sesedap hati je komen orang. nakl ayan kerenah sekor2 memang tak habih. macam2 benda diorang dah anticipate. siap dgn polis and RELA lagi nak jaga orang yg datang serbu. because of these people, everyone is suffering. and 300+ days were given. bukan satu je NRD tu..byk location tau tak. pleaselah..stop blaming people lah.

  • I do realise that about one million people who are just now renewing theirs are late, but I am also sure that we will find reasons for their delay.

hucs says : I'm confident that not less than 95% from the one million have no reason in delaying their card renewal.


  • Why did the NRD officers not count the people queuing and inform them that the quota had been exceeded so that we could either go to other NRD branches or cancel our leave?
hucs says : NRD staff are already working more than 16 hours at some locations, just to entertain these indiscpline people. They are given mineral waters, chance to win a MyVi and many more. On top of that, gov has to pay the overtime for the staff. And all these are not NRD faults!! And now this peson wants NRD to do more extra work. I agree that this is indeed a good sugestion but should not be a complaint, from this ungrateful people pulak tu!

hucs says : Same as above. Plus, it is hard to give the estimation. Some branchs gave wrong estimates and people were complaining. So it is better for them to let the people to decide when to come.

hucs says : nasib ko lah. padan muka. orang tu dtg lambat sbb dia boleh buat anytime. dia kenal org dalam. lu sapa? dah tau takde contact, apsal tak buat awal2?

I still believe there's no excuse for any of us not to renew the myKad within the given time. it is mere procastination, ignorance and stupidity (minus for some minority genuine case lah). Tak kan in 365 days u takde satu hari pun? apa pun alasan yg these people nak bagi, to me...padan muka je.hahahaha

and another significant contributor for these people to procrastinate is because of previous government standing on this kind of event. Usually they will extend the date and so on. However, not this time...ok la tu..improve sket...ajar sket orang mengada2 ni.

Yup, u r definately 100% correct. That's just typical of us, procrastinating and complaining. Besides being a bad driver.. Hehehehe.
